Before purchasing / trading any animal (s) from Art In Scales, please read the following:

  • Genetic Guarantee

We guarantee all 100% heterozygous animals will produce the desired homozygous morph by the second breeding when bred to a homozygous animal of the same morph or another heterozygous animal produced by us of the same morph with genetic paperwork.  If a homozygous animal is not produced by the second breeding, we will trade a homozygous baby for the heterozygous animal that was being bred. We must be notified after the first breeding if no morphs were produced.

In the case of multiple 100% heterozygous animals, ie. albino and piebald, if at least one of each of the desired morphs are not produced after the second breeding when bred to a homozygous animal of the same morph(s) or another heterozygous animal produced by us of the same morph(s) with genetic paperwork,  a single morph animal of each morph 100% heterozygous opposite gene will be traded if available for the multiple heterozygous animals. We must be notified after the first breeding if no morphs were produced.

Genetic photo documentation will be provided on all heterozygous animals produced by Art In Scales. Please safeguard this information as it will be needed for any genetic or gender issues in the future. This information is transferable if the animal is sold. Our genetic documentation is provided on compact disc and paper for your records. 

  • Health Guarantee

We guarantee our animals to be in good health. If you discover any health issues within the first 7 days after arrival, please contact us. We will send a replacement animal or reimburse vet bills at our discretion. Our animal are also guaranteed to be eating. We also guarantee our animals to be properly sexed, this is a lifetime guarantee.  If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 48 hours of arrival.

  • Shipping

We are Fed-Ex and Delta certified live animal shippers. We use Fed-Ex Priority Overnight service, UPS Next Day Air and Delta Dash/Priority First. Live arrival is guaranteed using either carrier. Animals will only be shipped as weather permits. During extreme hot or cold periods we will gladly care for your animal (s) at no additional cost until shipping is possible.

Please Read Carefully

All live arrival guarantees are void if no one is present at time of arrival on Fed-Ex and UPS shipments.

Delta shipments must be verified in carrier representative's presence within 4 hours of arrival. If the animal has expired, all claims must be made with Delta prior to leaving the airport.

  • Payment

We accept credit cards, e-check and bank transfers through Paypal, Postal money orders, certified bank checks and personal check. All payments must be made in full and clear prior to shipment.

  • Deposits & Payment Plans

We offer short term payment plans with a 25% deposit on orders over $300. All deposits are non-refundable, but can be applied as credit toward future purchases.
